To provide community awareness, funding and support for the education of Dalit Children in rural Southern India. Help Kids India supports the work of the Betsy Elizabeth Trust (BET), an Indian non-profit organization. HKI funds three BET preschools serving a total of 170 children who live in poverty, most of whom are Dalit (Untouchable). HKI funds pay all school operating expenses, including salaries for twenty-seven staff. Additionally, HKI provides funding for food assistance, utilities and maintenance, student uniforms, transportation, auditor fees, administration expenses, and necessary building projects.
