Anchorage Genealogical Society
The mission of the Anchorage Genealogical Society is to foster the research for genealogical information in any way possible, not only for the members of the Society, but for anyone who is interested and needs help. Therefore, all present members and future members should be willing to share their knowledge and expertise, and volunteer to participate in workshops and classes which the Society may sponsor. All present and future members should be willing to volunteer for duty in the genealogy section of the Loussac Library whenever possible, which means that the members should become familiar enough with that section of the library to be able to help others and be willing to participate in on-the-job training by qualified members until such expertise is acquired. The Anchorage Genealogical Society should become a true service organization dedicated to the education and training of genealogists who can, in turn, educate and train others.
